Joint UKLCC / CRUK National workshop on promoting the early and rapid diagnosis of lung cancer
28th November 2018, The Light Conference and Exhibition Centre, Friends House, Euston Road, London
Working in partnership with Cancer Research UK, the UK Lung Cancer Coalition is organising this National Workshop with the aims of:
- presenting evidence on the scale of the problems around late diagnosis in lung cancer
- considering the extent to which this contributes to inequalities of care and outcomes for lung cancer patients across the UK
- better understanding the effectiveness of interventions already tested aimed at tackling both the late and slow diagnosis of lung cancer
- presenting examples from across tJoint he UK of good practice in this clinical area
- encouraging health care professional, providers and commissioners to exploit any and every opportunity to promote the adoption of best practice and to develop innovative ways of achieving earlier and faster diagnosis, increasing treatment rates, reducing inequalities in care and improving survival
There will be a very high profile expert faculty with a significant part of the meeting being devoted to an interactive workshop.
This meeting will be of interest to anyone involved in the commissioning, funding, organisation and delivery of care to lung cancer patients across the UK, being perhaps of particular interest to members of Cancer Alliances and Health Boards.
