YDEF Maternal Medicine 2024

The YDEF is excited to announce a brand-new course for 2024, the YDEF Maternal Medicine Course! This one-day event will take place in London (UCH Education Centre) on Monday 14th October 2024, and will cover common and relevant issues relating to both diabetes and endocrine disorders in the perinatal period, in line with the 2022 JRCPTB curriculum for Endocrinology and Diabetes training.

We are delighted that Professor Helen Murphy will be delivering a session in association with Ypsomed mylife Diabetescare to bring us the latest updates regarding hybrid closed loop (HCL) use in pregnancy. There will also be a talk on physical activity in pregnant women with diabetes.

On the endocrine side, we have presentations planned covering thyroid and pituitary disease in pregnancy, as well as a session covering all of those tricky calls that the Endocrine registrar receives from Labour Ward (including adrenal insufficiency)!

You must have a valid Diabetes UK membership number to be eligible for a place on this course.  If you do not provide a valid number, you will be removed from the registration list without being contacted for clarification/correction of your DUK membership number.

YDEF takes data protection and your privacy seriously. The information gathered in the registration form will be used solely for the purpose of organising and contacting you about this course and to aid in our planning of future iterations of this course. In order to process your registration and to provide services associated with the event, we may need to share your data with third parties working for us, such as the conference venue and security providers. Please note; if you register for this course and fail to attend without adequate notice, you may be placed onto a low-priority list for future YDEF events.
